Nov. 6, 2008 - The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty announced Archbishop Charles J. Chaput as the recipient of the Canterbury Medal. Each year, the Becket Fund awards the Canterbury Medal to the person who has “most resolutely refused to render to Caesar that which is God’s.” The Becket Fund announcement cites the Archbishop’s book, Render Unto Caesar, and other public addresses as important contributions to religious liberty and the national political discourse. Nov. 18, 2008 - This Friday, Nov. 21, Father Kevin Augustyn will present Theology on Tap at 7:30 p.m. at Braun's Bar & Grill, 1055 Auraria Parkway. Father Kevin, pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Center and director of campus ministry for University of Colorado-Boulder, will talk about "How Christianity formed the Western World and how we're forgetting who we are." Theology on Tap is an opportunity for young adults, ages 18 to 35, to explore topics of the Catholic faith in a relaxed setting.
Nov. 5, 2008 - The 47th Annual Study Week of the Southwest Liturgical Conference, entitled “Pinnacle, Pulpit & Pew: The Eucharist Celebrated, The Word Proclaimed, the Mission Lived…,” will take place at the Denver Sheraton Hotel January 14-17, 2009. (Read more)
